About This Event
The Gladstone Gem, Rock and Mineral Club offers creative and interesting opportunities for everyone in the family of all ages, backgrounds and skills. New members and juniors (from 9 to 16 years) are always welcome. Club Member instructors are available to provide advice and training. There are regular weekly workshops on Wednesdays and Fridays. Wednesday 12.30pm – 3.00pm – Silversmithing and Wire wrapping Wednesday 6.00pm – 9.00pm – General Workshop Friday 6.00pm – 9.00pm – General Workshop General Skills available to learn: Diamond Sawing, Faceting, Silversmithing, Wire Wrapping, Cabochons, Lost Wax Casting, Flat Lapping, Sphere making, Other interest areas : Geology, Fossils, Crystals and Specimens. The Club provides opportunities to venture out on field trips to different areas of geological interest.
